TIM Digital international THINK TANK
 - 16.10.2025

How to attract clinical trials was the focus of TIM's (Twins' International MultiHelix) international digital Think Tank on October 16th 2025, with more than 60 attendees from Asia, North America, and Europe. Speakers from the UK, Sweden, Italy, Spain, Hong Kong, and Germany

Four key pillars were identified for how the healthcare system should adapt to advanced medical research: skilled personnel, infrastructure, advanced diagnostics, and political will.

The importance of adapting to changing diagnostics, therapeutics, and technologies while maintaining speed, accuracy, and commitment was identified as a key factor for conducting clinical trials competitively. A large patient pool, reliable timelines, and site capabilities were also mentioned as essential factors. From a patient perspective, the need for patient-friendly language and early involvement in research processes was underlined.

What is needed for a region to attract clinical trials? In the discussion, several factors were mentioned: excellent science, international research infrastructure, access to precision medicine, collaboration among academia, healthcare, and industry, and clear political ambitions.
